47th Citizens Police Academy

This was a great week for those who participated in the 47th Citizens Police Academy. Their 12-week journey had finally come to an end, and we are very grateful for the time they gave to us to learn what policing is like in Wichita Falls. These type of community interactions is crucial to our department in providing the right type of information about policing and building a trust within the community.

Weekend Fun

Officer Arias with our community services division had the chance to hang out with the community at the “Eclipse at the Library” event. Considering these types of lunar events do not happen too often, our department had to make sure we were there to show support and have a little fun in the process.

Coffee With A Cop

This a chance to come out and get to know the officers that work in your city and grab a nice breakfast while you are at it. Our Community Services Department will also be handing out some free swag so first come, first serve. We look forward to seeing you there.

Summertime Fun!

The Junior Police Academy June and July sessions have come to an end. This was a great time for our department to connect with teenage kids about law enforcement and allow them to see all the different aspects of how our department works. During the weeklong academy, kids go to partake in all things law enforcement such as: traffic stops, room clearing, handcuffing, investigations, and scuba diving. This also allowed them to meet the men and women that serve in all these areas and then some. It was a fun time to be had by all and look forward to next summer.

Police Week 2023

A week of remembrance as we honor those who paid the ultimate sacrifice. We will forever be thankful for your service. Your sacrifice will never be forgotten. We will always remember our fallen officers and ensure they are etched in our hearts and minds every day.
