Please join the Wichita Falls Police Department on Monday, May 13th at 10 am, for a remembrance ceremony in honor of all the law enforcement officers across the country who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.
Monday marks the beginning of National Police Week. In 1962, President John F. Kennedy signed a proclamation which designated May 15th as Peace Officers Memorial Day and the week in which that date falls as Police Week.
The ceremony is open to the public and will be held on the front lawn of the WFPD Headquarters, 610 Holliday. The event is free of charge and refreshments will be provided following the ceremony.
