On Tuesday, January 30th, at approximately 9:20 pm officers with the Wichita Falls Police Department were dispatched to the 1700 block of 9th Street at Walgreens in reference to a possible disturbance. Upon arrival they spoke with the victim who stated that she and her boyfriend, who was later identified as 27 year old Nolan Blair, were in a verbal argument at which time Blair became physical and started to choke the victim. The victim was able to get away and call for help. Blair fled the scene.
Approximately 20 minutes later Blair returned and police were called back. Officers located Blair at which time he became aggressive towards them. As officers were attempting to place Blair in handcuffs he began to actively resist and pull away. Officers deployed their conducted energy devices (Taser) but it was unsuccessful. Blair began to fight with the officers striking one officer in the face with his fist and another in the torso. Officers were able to redeploy their Taser at which time they were able to get Blair into custody.
Blair was transported to the Wichita County jail without further incident where he was charged with assault family violence, resisting arrest and two counts of assault on a public servant.
