On July 20th at approximately 11:30 am officers with the Wichita Falls Police Department were dispatched to the 800 block of Flood in reference to subject that had been struck in the head with a brick.
Upon arrival they located the victim who stated that 34 year old Lashenda Mitchell came to their residence and began throwing bricks through the window of the residence. When the victim went outside to see what was going on Mitchell threw another brick striking the victim in the head causing a cut around the victim’s left eye. Mitchell fled the scene prior to officer’s arrival and went to the area of Juarez and Humphreys where she got into a second altercation.
Officers responded to the intersection of Juarez and Humphreys for a disturbance in which the driver of a 1997 Grey Honda Accord was hitting a 1999 gold Toyota Camry that was parked in the area. Witnesses at the scene stated that the driver of the Accord struck the Camry multiple times with their vehicle and then exited the vehicle and began breaking the windows of the Camry with a baseball bat.
Officers arrived on scene and located Mitchell at which time they were able to take her into custody without incident. She was transported to the Wichita County jail where she was charged with aggravated assault.
Both disturbances are under investigation and further charges could be filed.
