On June 5th at approximately 3:30pm officers with the Wichita Falls Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a 1996 Buick Roadmaster in the 100 block of Whitfield. The driver of the vehicle identified himself as Kiante Green, however officers were familiar with the subject and knew him to be 20 year old Jamel King. A records check on King revealed that he had eleven confirmed warrants for his arrest to include burglary of a habitation. King was arrested and transported to the Wichita County jail without incident.
The burglary warrant stemmed from a case that officers responded to on October 26, 2016 in the 1300 block of Giddings. The victims stated that sometime that evening between 8:00 pm and 11:30 pm unknown suspects made entry into their residence and stole several items to include a TV, clothing and a phone.
During the course of the investigation WFPD Detectives were able to gather enough probable cause to have two warrants issued; one for Jamel King and a second for 32 year old Wyketa Murray. Murray was arrested on the warrant back on November 23, 2016 when she was seen by officers in the 2500 block of Seymour Hwy. Officers knew Murray to have the outstanding warrant.
