On Thursday, January 26th, at approximately 2:30 pm an officer with the Wichita Falls Police Department’s K-9 Unit conducted a traffic stop on a 2016 silver Toyota Corolla in the 3100 block of Highway 287. The driver of the vehicle was identified as 61 year old Timothy Casey from Colorado.
During the course of the traffic stop officers were able to smell the odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. Officers conducted a search based on probable cause and located several sealed bags of marijuana in the trunk of the vehicle as well as a small amount of marijuana in the passenger area of the vehicle. The total weight of the narcotics was over four pounds.
Casey was arrested and transported to the Wichita County jail where he was charged with possession of marijuana over four ounces under five pounds. This is a State Jail Felony.
