On January 3rd, the victim reported that his residence in the 1600 blk of Huff had been burglarized. The victim reported jewelry, computer and stereo equipment and clothing items taken from the residence. The victim also stated that the power to the residence had been turned off during the course of the burglary. The case was turned over to detectives and the investigation continued. During the course of the investigation detectives followed up on leads and identified the suspects as James Johnson Jr. and Kelly Jo Rickman. The investigation also revealed that some of the stolen property was sold at a local pawn shop. Enough probable cause was developed to issue burglary of a habitation warrants for both Johnson and Rickman. The suspects were in jail on other unrelated burglary charges when the warrants were served on them.
