WFPD Arrest Man for Burglary of a Building

On Tuesday, January 17th, at approximately 12:40 pm officers with the Wichita Falls Police Department were dispatched to the 600 block of Burnett in reference to a possible burglary of a building.  Upon arrival they spoke with the victim who stated that someone made forced entry into his auto shop and stole a 2006 white Dodge Charger that was parked inside.

According to witnesses they observed a white male driving the stolen Charger out of the shop at approximately 11:45 am.

Officers were able to locate the stolen vehicle in the 300 block of E Jefferson with its hood up and driver’s side door open.  They also located a white male who was identified as 25 year old Nicholas Hobbs, a former employee of the victim.  As officers were detaining Hobbs he advised officers that he had taken the vehicle in order to continue working on it.

Hobbs was transported to the Wichita County jail without incident where he was charged with burglary of a building.
