On Friday, January 13th, at approximately 3:30 pm officers with the Wichita Falls Police Department were dispatched to the 1300 block of Central Freeway in reference to a disturbance at Fas Pac. Upon arrival officers spoke with an employee of the business, 44 year old Johnny Reed, who stated that he had been threatened by a customer with a gun.
When officers began to investigate and speak with witnesses it was determined that a customer came into the store asking for money that Reed owed him for a job that he had done for Reed. An argument ensued at which time Reed pulled out a bat and began to chase the customer. A second employee of the business attempted to stop Reed at which time it was reported that Reed struck the employee in the face with the bat. Witnesses stated at no time did anyone ever threaten anyone with or display a firearm.
Reed was transported to the Wichita County jail where he was charged with two counts of aggravated assault.
