Traffic stop leads to drugs and weapon arrest.

fotorcreatedOn December 29th, at approximately 12:03 pm officers conducted a traffic stop at the corner of Ave. D and Fulton for failure to signal a turn prior to 100 feet.  As soon as the vehicle stopped, the driver, later identified as Brandon Green had gotten out of the vehicle and walked away from it. Green was observed dropping something next to a tree and walking away from the direction of where he parked the vehicle. Green was detained as the investigation continued at the scene.  Narcotics and drug paraphernalia were located by the tree where Green was observed by officers.  The narcotics tested positive as Methamphetamine approximately 0.32 grams.  A search of Green’s vehicle revealed a set of knuckles and assorted drug paraphernalia. Green was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine in a Drug Free Zone, a warrant and prohibited weapons due to the set of knuckles.
