William Burns
On Sunday, November 13th, at approximately 2:15 pm officers with the Wichita Falls Police Department stopped a Chevrolet Tahoe being driven by 39 year old William Burns in the 300 block of East Jefferson. Officers knew from prior contact that Burns’ driver’s license was expired. Upon stopping Burns it was also discovered that he did not have valid insurance.
When officers began to process the vehicle for impound they discovered three small baggies with a crystal type substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine. The total weight for the methamphetamine was 12.51 grams. Officers also located under 2 ounces of marijuana, several more empty plastic baggies and a digital scale.
Burns was arrested and transported to the Wichita County jail where he was charged with manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance in penalty group one and possession of marijuana under two ounces.
