On 09-18-16, WFPD officers were dispatched to Academy Sports in reference to a reported theft of a Yeti cooler. Officers were told that the suspects had left the scene in a U-Haul van with Arizona plates. While searching the area, officers located the van in the Home Depot parking lot occupied by one subject, 27 year old Brandon Green. A second subject exited Home Depot wearing a wig. He was identified as 26 year old Michael Devoust. Investigation revealed that Green and Devoust were together and the van contained several stolen items from Academy Sports, Lowe’s, Home Depot and Walmart – including the above mentioned Yeti Cooler. Officers were able to return the stolen merchandise to the respective stores. Both subjects were arrested and transported to jail. They were charged with Theft < $2500.00. In addition, Green was found to be in possessions of two baggies of Methamphetamine (> 5 oz). He was also charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1.
