WFPD Makes Burglary Arrest

On Thursday, September 15th, officers with the Wichita Falls Police Department responded to the 1600 block of 35th Street in reference to a subject with an outstanding warrant for their arrest.  Upon arrival they located 27 year old Tony Watkins.  A records checked confirmed that Watkins was wanted for Attempted Burglary of a Habitation.  The warrant stemmed from a burglary that WFPD Detectives were investigating.

On September 8, 2016 WFPD officers responded to the 4700 block of Taft in reference to a possible burglary of a habitation.  Upon arrival they spoke with the victim who stated that at approximately 12:30 pm when they were walking into their apartment they observed a black male standing in their living room.  The victim stated that when the suspect saw her he fled the scene.  The victim followed the suspect and observed him get into a silver Cadillac CTS four door sedan.

Watkins was transported to the Wichita County jail without incident.
