WFPD Makes Arrest in Burglary of a Habitation

On June 29th just before 3:00 pm officers with the Wichita Falls Police Department responded to the 1100 block of Covington to attempt to serve an arrest warrant for burglary of a habitation on 34 year old Darren Monroe.  Upon arrival they located Monroe in a driveway.  He was taken into custody and transported to the Wichita County jail without incident.

The warrant was the result of a burglary that had taken place on May 29th in the 4800 block of Dickens.

The victim of the burglary had told police that he had been outside doing yard work sometime between 3:30 pm and 5:00 pm.  The victim stated that he had his garage door open when someone came in and stole his weed trimmer and leaf blower.
