WFPD Traffic Stop Leads to Narcotics Arrest

On June 27th at approximately 4:00 pm officers with the Wichita Falls Police Department stopped a 1997 maroon Chevrolet Tahoe in the area of North 8th and Central Fwy on a traffic violation.  When officers approached they could smell the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle.  Officers identified the front seat passenger as 30 year old Misty Lasseter.

Officers conducted a search of the vehicle and located inside Lasseter’s purse an open container that held several small clear plastic bags with a crystal like substance inside.  The substance field tested positive for methamphetamine. The total weight of the methamphetamine was over 10 grams. Officers also located over 21 grams of marijuana in the purse.

Lasseter was arrested and transported to the Wichita County jail where she was charged with manufacture and delivery of a substance in penalty group 1 over 4 grams and possession of marijuana under 2 ounces.
