On June 21st at approximately 3:40 pm officers with the Wichita Falls Police Department stopped a white 2010 Acura TSX for a traffic violation at Monroe and Ave H. As officers approached the vehicle they observed the driver making furtive movements inside the vehicle. Officers identified the driver as 33 year old Daniel Harris.
Harris gave officers consent to search the vehicle at which time officers located a clear crystal like substance on the driver’s seat. The substance field tested positive for methamphetamine. Harris was arrested and transported to the Wichita County jail. Upon arrival at the jail a further search of Harris revealed that he was concealing two plastic bags containing a clear crystal like substance that also field tested positive for methamphetamine. The combined total weight of the narcotics located was over 7 grams.
Harris was charged with manufacture and delivery of a substance in penalty group 1 over 4 grams.
