On Saturday, June 18th at approximately 10:20 pm officers with the Wichita Falls Police Department were dispatched to the 1300 block of Giddings in reference to a possible aggravated robbery. Upon arrival they spoke with the victim who stated that at approximately 10:15 pm someone knocked at his door. When he opened the door he observed a black male standing there who he knew by the nickname “Cheese.” The victim stated that the suspect pointed a black handgun at him and demanded money. The victim gave the suspect an orange pill bottle that contained some cash at which time the suspect fled the scene.
Officers were able to locate the suspect, who at first gave officers a false name but was later identified as 21 year old Jantz Bolt, in the 1400 block of Bell St. Bolt agreed to speak with officers and confessed to robbing the victim at gunpoint. Upon searching the area officers located a handgun matching the description of the one used in the robbery.
Bolt took officers to an address in the 1300 block of Giddings were they were able to locate the pill bottle that the victim gave Bolt.
Bolt was arrested and transported to the Wichita County jail where he was charged with aggravated robbery (Bond set at $100,000.) and failure to identify (Bond set at $750.00.)
