Arrest Made in Zoom-In Robbery

FotorCreatedOn 04-20-16, at approx 10:46pm, officers from the WFPD Tactical Unit were conducting surveillance on the Zoom-In store, 2306 Seymour Hwy, in reference to recent robberies at that location. While watching, they observed a white male wearing dark colored clothing enter the store. After he entered, they saw the clerk back up and the male point at the clerk and reach over the counter. As officers approached, the male exited the store on foot and fled. He was caught at the intersection of Seymour Hwy and Fillmore and identified as 36 year old Zachariah Pond. Video showed that Pond had just robbed the store at gunpoint. He was found to still be in possession of the gun used and the stolen money. He was arrested for Aggravated Robbery and transported to jail. During the investigation, it was determined that Pond had been also involved in at least 2 other past robberies at the same location and further charges are expected.
