Traffic stop turns up drugs.

perezfOn 03-02-2016 at approximately 11:15 pm, Officers with the Wichita Falls Police Department were working directed patrol in the area of Midwestern Parkway and Manor Ln.  They observed a Lincoln Navigator  fail to signal 100 ft continuously prior to turning westbound on Cynthia Ln.  The  vehicle was stopped for the violation in the 1500 block of Cynthia Ln.  Officers approached the vehicle and made contact with the driver identified as Ashley Perez. While  speaking with Perez concerning the traffic stop, officers detected the strong odor of Marijuana coming from inside the vehicle.  As Perez exited the vehicle as instructed, officers observed what appeared to be Marijuana on her clothing.  During a search of her person and vehicle officers discovered  Marijuana and approximately 15 grams of Xanax and Acetaminophen/Codeine pills.  Perez was arrested for Possession of Marijuana under 2 ounces in a Drug Free Zone and two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the pills.  She was also cited for no driver’s license in possession.
