WFPD Make Early Hour Burglary Arrest

This morning at approximately 3:40 am Officers with the Wichita Falls Police Department were dispatched to the 1700 block of Archer City Hwy to the Saf-T-Loc in reference to a suspicious person call.

Upon arrival Officers performed a preliminary search of the area that revealed a portion of a chain link fence that had been forced open. Officers located a door on one of the mobile homes that was partially opened. Officers searched the mobile home and located a subject inside. The subject was immediately detained and identified as 38 year old Jason Shelton. Shelton was in possession of property from the mobile home. Officers located a second subject inside the mobile home and detained him as well.  He was identified as 31 year old Joshua Edmondson. Officers also located two clear bags containing a white substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine.

The property owner arrived on scene and advised they did not give permission for anyone to be inside their mobile home.

Both Shelton and Edmondson were arrested and transported to the Wichita County jail where they were charged with Burglary of a Habitation and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
