This morning at approximately 12:30 am Patrol Officers with the Wichita Falls Police Department were dispatched to the 4700 block of Jacksboro Hwy in reference to noises coming from the backyard of a vacant residence. Witnesses stated they heard someone walking around and saw lights from a flashlight.

Upon arrival Officers established a perimeter.  They located a blue Honda CRV parked nearby and an open back door to the residence.  Officers observed a white male, later identified as 53 year old Wendell Frie, run from the back of the residence. Frie ran to the front of the residence at which time he was caught by Police.

Officers also located 30 year old Kyle Lunger inside the open back door of the residence. They ordered him out and he was taken into custody.

Lunger claimed they had permission to be in the vacant residence.

Officers observed in the vehicle two large pieces of home stereo equipment lying, in plain view, behind the driver’s seat.

Officers located the property owner who then responded to the scene.  The victim identified the stereo equipment as theirs and stated at no time was Frie or Lunger given permission to be in their residence.

Frie was charged with Evading and Burglary of a Habitation. Lunger was charged with Burglary of a Habitation.
