Wichita Falls Police Department releases 2014 annual report.

Officer Badge (Blank)The Wichita Falls Police Department has recently released its 2014 Annual report.  It can be accessed on the City’s website under http://www.wichitafallstx.gov>departments>police>news and announcements or by using the following link:http://tx-wichitafalls2.civicplus.com/DocumentCenter/View/24458
The report contains information regarding all aspects of the WFPD to include budgetary items, personnel, and all types of incidents reported from criminal offenses to accidents.
It should be noted that the Uniform Crime Report shows a significant increase in reported rapes.  The increase is due to the FBI’s revision of the definition of Rape under the U.C.R. system. The term “Forcible” was removed to allow for a more broad range of offenses.  FBI program officials expected the rise in these reports.  The new reporting standard will affect police departments nationwide as well.
