Traffic stop leads to Meth arrest

mcwhorterOn 4-1-15, at approximately 00:58 hrs a red Ford Focus was stopped in the 700 blk of Baylor for no taillights.  The driver was identified as Jason Matthew McWhorter.  An officer on scene observed that McWhorter could possibly be armed with a weapon.  McWhorter was then frisked along with the lunge area inside the vehicle.  The frisk of the lunge area revealed components commonly used to manufacture Methamphetamine.  As the officers continued to search the vehicle they located approximately 0.4 grams of Meth.   McWhorter was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 1, less than 1 gram.
