Tonight at approximately 8:20 PM Officers with the Wichita Falls Police Department were dispatched to the 4800 block of Brookdale at the Brookdale Apartments in reference to a possible burglary.

Upon arrival Officers spoke with the victims who stated that they heard a knock at the door. When one of the victims went to open the door he was struck in the head by an unknown suspect.  Then three to five suspects entered into the apartment and tied the two victims up.  At that time the suspects began taking items from the apartment to include shoes and a video game console.  The suspects exited the apartment by way of  a window and then fled the scene in a maroon in color Ford Focus.

The suspects were described as Hispanic males between the ages of 16-20, wearing all black clothing.  Two of the suspects were wearing masks.  One of the suspects not wearing a mask was described as having shaggy hair and a thin mustache.  A second suspect not wearing a mask was described as skinny, even haircut and mustache.

During the course of the burglary the suspects displayed a box cutter and an unknown type of handgun.

The victims were unharmed and were able to free themselves.

Although it is early in the investigation, this does not appear to be a randomly chosen target.

If you have any information about this crime you are encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at 322-9888.
