This is your last chance to get a nice break in June for all you hard working parents.

This a great chance to bring your kids and get to know officers in the community. We will have a lot of great things to give out so why not come eat a good breakfast and chat with us. We look forward to seeing you there!

There still is time and a lot of fun to be had.

The WFPD Crimes Against Children detectives have completed a thorough investigation of the attempted abduction near McNiel Jr. High on Friday, March 3. The detectives have determined that the incident was completely fictitious. The detectives also plan to file a charge for False Report on the female juvenile who made the fictitious report.

On 3-5-23 at approximately 6:00am, Officers were dispatched to 1000 Holliday (Stripes) for a hold up alarm. Upon arrival, Officer Stacey observed a suspect fleeing the scene on foot. Officer Stacey was able to take the suspect into custody quickly and identify him as Mario Escobar. A BB gun was used by Mario during the robbery and was charged with aggravated robbery and evading arrest. A quick response by Officer Stacey and other officers made this a great arrest and worthy of praise for their continued efforts to keep our streets safe. Great job to everyone involved!

We are excited this year to start back our “Coffee With a Cop” event. We will be hosted by United Market Street on March 7th at the coffee area located near the south side entrance of the store. This is a great time to speak to officers that patrol your streets and to possibly score some FREE swag.
