On 8/8/2014 at approx. 2011 hrs WFPD Officers responded to a disurbance at Academy Sports (3201 Lawrence Rd.). While en-route they were advised that the suspect, a black female in a pink shirt, left the scene in a white vehicle after attempting to use a fake credit card. Officers immediately located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. The female described was the passenger in the vehicle. After speaking with both females and receiving a consent to search the vehicle Officers located numerous fake credit cards and a notebook that contained over 80 credit card numbers from U.S. Bank. Officers also located several thousand dollars of merchandise from Harbor Freight, they believed was purchased using a stolen credit card, inside the vehicle. The females were identified and all of the items were seized by Officers. Detectives received the case and after a thorough investigation were able to obtain warrants on Kenyanta Thompson and Keli Gholson for Fraudulent Use or Possession of Identifying Information which is a 1st Degree Felony. During the investigation Detectives found over $30,000 in fraudulent charges in Texas, Oklahoma and Missouri. Both Suspects are from Lawton, Oklahoma but have not yet been arrested.
