Officers served a search warrant at a home last week after stopping 35 year old Jonathan Collins on a traffic stop. Collins was driving a car matching one involved in burglary at Harbor Freight. During the search of Collins’ home, several items were recovered that were stolen from both Harbor Freight and Atwoods. The total property recovered was valued at over $14000.
On 10-22-14, the WFPD Tactical Unit arrested Collins at his home for theft over $1500 under $20000 (Atwood’s) and Failure to Identify. Yesterday, while in jail, he was also charged with Burglary of a Business and another Theft over $1500 under $20000 (both charges stemming from the Harbor Freight incident).
Collins, a former Harbor Freight employee, is currently still being held in the Wichita County Jail.
