On 09-16-14, WFPD Officers were dispatched to Wal-Mart on Lawrence Road in reference to a Theft. Employees observed 2 suspects, 1 male and 1 female, enter the store and select a large storage container. As the suspects walked around the store, they put several items in the container and closed the lid. When they approached the self-checkout line, the suspects paid for a few groceries and the container, however they made no attempt to pay for any of the items concealed inside of the container. Once they finished their transaction and passed all points of sale without paying for the concealed items, they were detained until Police arrived.
The suspects were identified as Reginal Newton, age 32, and Christina Foshee, age 25. The concealed merchandise totaled more than $350.00.
Newton was found to also be in possession of methamphetamine and records check showed that Foshee was barred from Wal-Mart properties.
Both Newton and Foshee were both arrested and charged with Theft under $500. Additional charges included Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 for Newton and Criminal Trespass for Foshee.
