The Next “Citizen Police Academy” Starts in September

The WFPD Community Services Section is currently accepting applications for the 31st Citizen Police Academy.  Classes will begin in September 2014.

Class members will attend a 10-15 week course, one evening each week, for three hours per session and find themselves on an obstacle course behind the wheel of a police vehicle,  firing automatic weapons,  witnessing drug dogs in action, suiting up and making split second decisions during ‘Shoot Don’t Shoot’ and learning from officers on the following topics:  Identity Theft, SWAT, SCUBA, Crime Scene Investigation, Traffic, Patrol, Drugs, Taser, Crash Investigation, and more.
