Updated – Police Investigate Aggravated Kidnapping

(Updated Information 05-23-2014) Detectives Investigating the Aggravated Kidnapping and Aggravated Sexual Assault case were able to narrow Kreidler’s whereabouts to an address on Crescent Lane today (Friday May 23rd). The WFPD SWAT Team was activated and shortly after arriving on scene Kreidler was spotted outside the residence. Kreidler fled on foot and SWAT Team members caught him after a short foot chase. Kreidler was arrested for the outstanding warrants and transported to the Wichita County Jail. 

Wichita Falls Police Department has been investigating an Aggravated Kidnapping that took place this morning. The victim and suspect do know each other. The victim was abducted this morning from her apartment in the 3900 block of Barnett Road. The suspect took the victim into another county during the incident. The victim was able to get away from the suspect and is now safe.

The suspect in the incident has been identified as James Donald Kreidler, White Male, DOB 05-29-1962. Kreidler is believed to be armed and dangerous. Persons with information on the whereabouts of Kreidler should contact the Wichita Falls Police Department at (940) 720-5000 or 9-1-1, but should not try to approach him.

At this time police do not have a warrant for Kreilder’s arrest however because he is believed to be armed with a firearm and could be dangerous to the public we are releasing his name and photo. Detectives are working on obtaining the Arrest Warrant today.

The WFPD Public Information Office will be responsible for the release of all information concerning this incident.
